UK - New guidance to help pig producers comply with legislation is to be drawn up by the Pig Health and Welfare Council (PHWC).The PHWC Welfare Sub Group is taking this forward as the existing guidance is, in some cases, more than 10 years old.The underlying legislation on animal welfare is not to change. The move has been made by Defra which is in the process of shifting responsibility to the industry.The meat chicken code has already been drawn up, pigs are underway and cattle and sheep are to follow. The PHWC, which is leading the review, is made up of industry organisations including the RSPCA.

　　英国新起草的指引将帮助猪肉生产商遵守由生猪健康与福利委员会(PHWC)制定的法规。PHWC福利小组向来在推进现有的指引发展，由于某些缘故光阴已经超过10年。动物福利方面最基本的立法没有改变，此举是英国食品和农村事务部(Defra)制定的，将责任推卸赠行业。肉鸡福利法规指引已经被起草，生猪福利指引在起草当中，牛和羊的福利法规指引在其之后制定。PHWC由行业组织构成，它主要尽职福利法规审查工作，机构包括皇家防止虐待动物协会(RSPCA)。
